I have not actualy tested this latest release of open source version of Arachne WWW browser for DOS, but I am publishing link anyway.

I was pointed to home page of open source version of Arachne WWW browser, the project I have abandoned many years ago - somewhere around version 1.73. Until this summer, open source development line of Arachne WWW browser maintained by Glen McCorckle reached version 1.85 (stable).

I haven't realy tested this release, because I have years ago migrated all Arachne Labs computers to Linux (and web browsers to Mozilla and Mozilla/Firefox), but changelog lists many annoying bugs as fixed, which means that user group of open source Arachne are much better developers, than I will ever be.

I feel really sorry for leaving Arachne WWW browser source code in such poorly documented state, with so many errors in the basic concept of HTML engine. It is amazing, that some people really managed to keep that beast alive.

My plan is to find some time to redesign museum section of Arachne Labs homepage, and to create separate project page and discussion form for Open Source Arachne on GPL software section of Arachne Labs website.
