Personaly, me and all my frieds are very, very sorry about
this sad news. It is just too unfair that someone who
gave so much to so many people all over the world, had to
die being just 49 years old :-(
Although Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy is considered to be
just humourous sci-fi novell pentalogy, it is surprising how many people would tell you, that insights of this book have
changed their lives a lot. For some people, reading Hitchhiker's Guide for the first time can be some kind of psychedelic experience. And it should be also mentioned,
that Douglas Adams vision included something very close to
world of Internet mailing lists, chat forums and e-zines
as we know them today. In fact, he might be considered to be one of spiritual fathers of Internet and World Wide Web.
Well, Douglas Adams himself would probably remind us that
we shouldn't panic. We have problem, not him. We just choosed incorrect universe, out of infinite number of probabilities. So let's hope he is still alive in most
other alternative universes....
